What features are different
to the Paradigm® Veo™
Hypo Protection – the MiniMed™ 640G System builds on the Paradigm Veo’s Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) capabilities to not only stop insulin delivery at a hypo/low threshold, but to stop insulin delivery when it predicts a hypo when the pump is used with an Enlite sensor. This is SmartGuard® Technology and is only available from Medtronic.
Convenience – you can now set pre-set temporary basal rates instead of having to remember them each time you need them. You can pre-set some common boluses too, and even deliver these remotely via the linked BG meter to make life even easier without having to get your pump out. Alert volumes can be varied and are louder and CGM alarms can now be silenced completely. You still have the missed meal bolus reminder, but can also set infusion set change reminders for every 2 or 3 days now too. All things to make life easier.
Design – The MiniMed™ 640G has maximised feedback from patients to give you a sleek, modern and user friendly pump that’s really quick to use and waterproof for 24 hours. And it’s smart, with light adjustable colour screen so you can see without glare in bright sunshine and at a glance quickly and discreetly at night.
These changes have made insulin pumping easier than ever – for adults, teenagers, children and anyone in between. But it’s how we look after you with our support and care teams that keep Medtronic users coming back. We are really proud that we try to set a Gold Standard for support, innovation and patient care.
